I strongly do not recommend a 14" chainsaw. I have a Husqvarna chainsaw 120, while the chainsaw acts admirably, 14" is almost guaranteed to be too small for some tasks. I wish that I went for the 18" every time I need it to deal with something (which is admittedly not very often with my 1/3 acre). Still, gas or not, 14" will likely leave you in the same situation as me. Don't be like me.

I did not like the line IQ and ended up returning the trimmer. The main reason though was because it spins counter clockwise and I could not get used to it. Every other trimmer I have owned spinned clockwise.
I do not have the line IQ but had the same issue with the counter clockwise. In another thread someone posted an easy quick fix just open the top motor housing where the battery attaches and switch the red and white wires, now it is clockwise.

or adapt yourself if you want the warranty. I've found I can trim twice as fast, not as clean or deep as a loud 2cyl. YMMV, some have different styles and jobs. I used to walk backwards with stihl and echo. Now I walk forward, much safer and faster but I also trim weekly so don't need a deep cut.

When comparing blowers it's important what battery it uses. That 5Ah may work for my trimmer but not for my blower, to much wrist strain.

EGO POWER+ 56-volt 530-CFM 110-MPH Brushless Handheld Cordless Electric Leaf Blower (Tool Only) Model #LB5300

Assuming the battery is interchangeable from my EGO POWER+ POWERLOAD with LINE IQ 56-volt 16-in Telescopic Cordless String Trimmer (Battery Included) Model #ST1623T

Can a $20 off $100 coupon be used on the blower/battery combo?

I've been getting a little frustrated with Ego. The only Ego item I own is a string trimmer that gets moderate use. I've has the battery replaced under warranty, no questions asked. But this week I've discovered my charger seems to not be willing to charge the battery. My replacement battery is about 2 or 3 years old and charger is about 5. I have other chargers for other brands that have lasted longer. Ego trimmer performance and durability is great, but the battery/charger seems to fail prematurely.
Similar battery frustrations. Lots of vids about repairing Ego bats and failures for a reason. I have 15 year old Ridgid bats that have been used and abused that are still working.

Looks like the 149 deal for the blower and battery seems to be the better deal here considering the battery by itself runs for 149. Am I looking at this right?

Curious on this also but one of the sites that sell the coupons says excluded sales. If it works let me know I may cancel my other order and get it with battery and charger.

I don't think battery issues are exclusive to Ego, but I am surprised to hear about a charger not working.

Those edgers went as low as $40 at some Home Depot's. I got one for $80. I miss those ego Home Depot deals

For Father's Day one year they had the blower, battery and charger for $99.

As an owner of the 14" Ego chainsaw, I sadly must agree. I often regret not having gotten the 18" version.

It's not that the 14" doesn't work, but once you have it you won't be as intimidated to take on a bigger task, but then your realize it's not possible.

I'm glad you've had a good experience with the brand. I probably stated what I did more out of frustration. Unfortunately only having one charger and one battery, if either fails you're SOL. My Dewalt and Ryobi tools/batteries/chargers have been solid.
Understandable. I bought a rapid charger off Facebook marketplace in 2018, a few months after slow charging my 7.5 amp. Took me a couple months but I talked a guy into mail it to me for $15 shipped. This is after I bought my 7.5 amp for $59.99 from Grainger. I wish I bought a couple more now, lol.

I keep a charger at all 3 properties.

Yeah. The 14" does really well for limbing and stuff (and I guarantee I would rather have the Ego vs. my Husqvarna), but when you're with a tree or piece of wood and you're sitting there wondering how to tactically tackle it with the 14", it's just a bummer. I do love having access to a chainsaw, but don't use it alot due to length issues.

Thinking the $159 leaf blower+battery might be a better deal than the tool alone as the battery alone costs $150
