I got this last time it was on sale, and I've really enjoyed it. Probably the best price you'll see for a name brand reliable mechanical keyboard.

Got this for work and am liking it more than my razers at home. Super touchy switches, sometimes resting my fingers I end up with lllllllll or ;;;;;;;; when I'm tired.

Same with me. I love the keyboard, but it is way more sensitive than I am used to. I am a two finger typer at 30wpm normally. With this keyboard I type 100wpm with only 170 errors. It is an awesome feeling keyboard, just need to get used to a mechanical again.

These keyboards are very underrated. I like the Z20 as much as I liked my awesome brown switch Corsair K70. In fact it may even be better. The Z15 is nearly as good.

Z20 is $45 right now (with clicky switches). I think it should be noted that the Z20 isn't a direct upgrade, it's more of a side-grade at best. A mechanical hotswappable board has advantages if you'd like to change the switches later on. Just wanted to point that out. Any of the options available (z15 for $35/$40 or z20 for $45) are all killer deals.

I got this in early July and have used this for work and gaming since. Like other commenters I found it is super sensitive especially if you have fairly big fingers . And I think it is smaller than most "office work " keyboards —so the combination of those 2 factors results in quite a few mis-strokes. These keys are quieter than most mechanical keyboards which is a big plus when you are on the phone and typing at the same time . That may be a characteristic of silver keys. The LED backlighting does stay on after you turn off the computer which would be really bothersome if you are in the same room as the keyboard after dark— but that may be because I didn't read the instructions. The logo on the top is obnoxious but you don't notice it after just a few hours of use . Overall this is an outstanding deal at this price.

The speed bronze might be preferable for you/anyone else who has had issues with the silvers being too sensitive. The speed bronze switch (clicky) variant is being offered for $40. The switches are still very light, but it'd definitely be an improvement. Your best option, however, would be to buy new switches and swap your current ones out. Kailh box switches (box whites are my favorite, they're clickies) might be a good cheapish option if you're interested in it.

Like others have said, I got one on the last sale. The switches are super touchy. If you are a lazy typer at all, you better replace the switches. I use mine mainly for gaming, but I had to put the extra clicky switches in that they give you around my WSAD keys. If you touch the other keys at all it will count as an input. You learn just how lazy you can get with key presses. Great keyboard but those silvers are insane. It took a few weeks to get in tune with this compared to my old Logitech non mechanical.

Also note from a gamer perspective, the keys seem to sit kind of high. Also not a fan of the ESC button. They put it far away and some games you use it a bunch.

The biggest difference is that this is a hot-swappable mechanical keyboard and z12 is membrane. You can remove the switches and key caps easily and put new in if you don't like the feel or want to try something different.
