P15v is always 16:9. Lenovo, or any Company in that matter, not just switching to 16:10 to all of their product lines. Rather, they are keeping both the options for different series.

Almost no laptops in the >$1000 range are coming onto the market with 16:9 displays these days. And it's especially egregious given that there was space in the chassis for it - just look at that bottom chin. The HP EliteBook 865 G9 is a much better buy.

USB4 can handle whatever Thunderbolt 3 can, including eGPU.

How 865 G9 is a better buy? Did you realise that despite having 16 inch Screen, 865 G9 uses Ultrabook hardware, U series cpu and no dedicated GPU. That's a complete different categories of laptop and not even comparable to this big Workstation laptop in the 1st place, using H series CPU and dedicated professional grade GPU. Two laptops are targeted for two different audience and not even comparable. Not to mention that 4K 600 nits 100% Adobe RGB screen, still better than 16:10 1200p 100% sRGB screen in 865 G9 for any kind of professional editing.

That's a pretty wrong statement that almost all 1k+ Laptops coming with 16:10. There are plenty of laptops from literally every brands, both Consumer and Business/workstation class, coming with 16:9 displays. For Business laptops, companies now updated their more premium series with 16:10 whereas budget ones and High performance/Price ratio models are still 16:9.
For example, HP's whole ProBook lineup for 2022 having 16:9 screen whereas EliteBook Models have been updated to 16:10. For Lenovo, higher end ThinkPads like T series, X series , P1 series, new P16 series, having 16:10 whereas budget lineups like E series, L series, High performance/Cost workstations P15v, T15g all are 16:9. And most of them with even middle tier configuration, costs over 1K.
May be do a little bit of research will give you the correct pictures rather than these kind of blanket statements.
