I will never play monkey ball because the copy I rented from my library bricked my GameCube by ruining the sensor. It's a cursed game, don't get it.

My opinion on this collection has been that it would likely be great for someone who never played the originals. I did play the originals on Gamecube and certain elements, particularly of the sound and presentation, just feel way too off for me to enjoy it. There's a lot of content and there's really nothing technically wrong with any of it (except one particular mini game was very poorly recreated), except it just doesn't feel right to some people who spent a lot of hours with the original games.

Monkey ball formula is always fun, but even if your not into it the party game mode is super fun.

Always looking to add another 4 player game to play with the family. Our go-tos are Mario Kart, Super Mario Party, and Warioware. Glad to add this one for over the long weekend!

keep in mind that at GameStop, "New" doesn't mean "Sealed". They open every game before sale. If the game usually includes extras (dlc codes, instruction manual, etc), it's possible that it won't be included with the game.

I applaud your dedication to archiving games on a budget.
if it makes you feel any worse, i have burned copies on hacked gamecube and hacked xbox that didn't ruin my laser...

I've used Gamestop for years and have never had a NEW game not have everything included. All new games I've seen in the store and have bought over the past few years always come shrink wrapped with everything included. Maybe you're still referring to Gamestop from years ago? Have you used them lately or better yet have you bought something NEW from them that didn't have codes that it should have?

I've had many experiences with GameStop online and in-store where they sold an unsealed game to me as 'new' recently. None of them were missing anything, but I also never accepted them in that condition and usually asked for a refund immediately. In at least one instance, they offered to replace the unsealed one with a sealed one on the spot, which I did accept.

It's usually when they're down to the last few copies of something. Last three games I ordered were unwrapped but they were also all low stock items. Never noticed missing codes though.

In the last few months, I bought a few games new. Not a single one came in the shrink wrap. MegaMan X collection for Switch was missing the DLC code, Carrion was missing the manual, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps was missing the art cards.
