I was in a pinch myself and bought a Bosch w 4ah battery at lowes. It's not great but a pretty decent saw w battery ~$100. Probably not nearly what this saw is but I haven't tried it. I love the Makita brushless saw. I would pay the extra for Milwaukee if you are looking for a pro level tool
