I bought this last time it went on sale for about the same price, and the adhesive is kind of on the weak side.

As someone who's had prime since the beginning, I can tell you right now that that usually IS the case. 80-90% of the time I've ordered products with far-out promised dates the product has arrived significantly sooner than the originally given date. This has consistently been true over many years now. Don't know what you're doing wrong/different that causes you not to have the same result as others, but have seen others confirm many times on this site and on others that indeed the significant majority of such products arrive much sooner.
