Hi, I found this deal for a barebone MiniPC:

Minisforum offers an additional $20 off coupon code, which is shown in a banner on the UM350 product site there. The code 9QNPYHSCXPQK is valid until 9/11.
You can apply the code for all variants, the price of $249 is for the barebone version, which means you still need to add RAM and a SSD.
DDR4 memory is quite cheap now and there are many great deals here on SD for SSDs.
It supports both a m.2 as well as a 2.5" SATA SSD. For the RAM you need SODIMM sticks like they're used in laptops.
  • AMD Ryzenâ„¢ 5 3550H
  • Radeon Vega 8 Graphics
  • DDR4 8GB×2 Dual channel (SODIMM Slots×2)
  • Upgrade-friendly
  • Supports 3 monitors (4K@60Hz)
  • M.2 2280 PCle SSD / 2.5" SATA SSD/HDD
Ports:
  • RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Port×1
  • USB3.0 Port×1 (Gen1, Yellow)
  • USB3.0 Port×3 (Gen2 , Blue)
  • USB-C Port×1 (Gen2)
  • HDMI ×1
  • Display Port×1
  • Audio Jack x 1
  • Digital MIC×1

Great! I just have to figure out how to duct tape my 1 wqhd, 1 4k and 2 1080p monitors together!! (No offense intended to your response. I am just frustrated with Apple as I want to upgrade but their stupid new Gen won't let me and I don't want M1 Max)

May be better off with a steam deck if you can be a bit patient.
SD has very limited storage upgrade options.

Sure, it's only easy to go up to 512gb for ~$50 on a steam deck, but it's got an equivalent CPU and better GPU with RDNA2. It all depends on what one's priorities are, but it would otherwise be as viable as this as a PC when docked.

I think mini PC pricing for the 3000 series is out of whack. Anyone able to explain it?

An 1135G7 w/ 1 x tb4 is 300 USD on aliexpress and has both better single and multi perf:

https://browser.geekbench.com/pro...en-5-3550h vs
https://browser.geekbench.com/pro...-i5-1135g7

So for $50 more you get 50% better single threaded perf, 30% better multi, better igpu (intel xe > vega 8) plus possible future egpu expansion.

I think I saw 4800H mini PCs on aliexpress for $400-ish? Not sure how that is for value.

Thanks for posting this, the i5 1135g7 option makes more sense with that performance. The thunderbolt 4 is great plus for egpu

Supports 1 display and where are you finding a 512 gb 2230 nvme for $50?

Look for OEM 2230 drives on eBay. Plenty of people in r/steamdeck have had success with the kioxia/hynix/samsung/kingston drives.

Ok been camping eBay since I got my deck. They are all from shady sellers.
A new 512 GB goes for $80.

Sure, but you have the free returns, eBay, paypal and the CC company to dispute if it doesn't work.

I bet the ones marked "new" are still the same as the $50 ones and just mislabeled. They are also probably pulls.

The official Intel NUCs have 2 x tb4 and the china clones only have 1 x tb4 but the Intel ones are like 2-3x the price.

I am very tempted to get an 11th gen mini PC but I know next year the 1240P will also be $300 (also because the 10th gen ones are like ~200-250 now)

let's see if SD will let me post an aliexpress link...

Code:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003388506162.html
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004394599985.html
I see some promo codes here:

Code:
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/911098001
https://tuofudunfactory.aliexpress.com/store/2385100
I was actually tempted to get one myself, the 11th gen for video transcoding and server tasks but I haven't been convinced yet because these are just luke-warm deals to me (and the minisforum one is just luke-cold to me) and I have enough tech I only really jump on the hot deals only now.
