Read too many reviews about door not sealing well. Bought the Whirlpool for a little more instead.

For me it shows SS OOS, white available. but no ice maker, and it looks like this is similar to the one we have, no room for milk or taller items in the main compartment, you have to put them in the doors, which mean they go sour faster

Edit: CR gives it a 66, low for noise, ease of use and owner satisfaction, and poor crisper control. Shelves aren't adjustable. Not meaning to thread crap, but it's cheap for a reason. It did give higher marks for Very Good thermostat control, Very Good temperature uniformity, Excellent energy efficiency

GE fridges (the top freezer ones) have historically been the most reliable. We haven't had a single GE fridge need a repair in any of our rental properties. We have some that are 20 yrs old. Our old large top freezer GE fridge which is now an extra fridge in the garage, is almost 30 yrs old.

HOWEVER.......I can't speak to these newer models post-2016 when Haier took over the GE Appliance Division. From talking to our family friend who handles all of our appliance repairs (that's his business), the newer top freezer GE fridges are a completely different animal than the previous ones. Then again, that's basically the same with all appliances as companies cut corners to save money while also trying to meet new DOE requirements

I was about to buy the GE 19.2cf model on Homedepot, but it's rated as indoor /ourdoor and as a garage fridge. It still has mixed rating like many others, but says it for use between 40 to 110 use. It's on sale at home depot for 698.00 and I have a 10% off if I use the HD credit card. Now if this GE fridge is also rated for both I go for it, but I haven't seen the ratings for it anywhere ?

Only 7 years! That's really MUCH too quick; "white goods" like fridge & range usually have design life of 10-12 years,. In apartments, with simplest appliances, I've seen 20 years, and more.

My family last got a new main kitchen fridge around 2018. But since then the rubber door lining peeled off. Multiples shelving tray cracks and breakages, and off and on freezer/defrost issues. Now back on the market for a new fridge replacement

That looks very similar to my 14 yr old Whirlpool. Just pull it out every few years and vacuum out the dust bunnies.

Ordered it. Coming this weekend. This also has an overall good score on Consumer Reports, mostly positive and only low is crisper performance. It's replacing a 20yrs old refrigerator in the garage.
