The real win in doing that is joining the "9 Line Club." By bumping up to 9 lines, the monthly cellular bill typically drops considerably, especially if you already have several free lines.
When I joined the "9 line club" my bill dropped to $50 per month for 9 voice lines on One Plus Promo. I will probably never give that account up, just pass it down to my grandkids. LOL.

I upgraded my plan from simple choice and it's $50 more for 5 lines (less after corp discount and nextflix and Apple TV).
The change will kick in after. 1.5 weeks and when I try to upgrade, it shows $1000 credit for s22 ultra but shows monthly payments of $24.95.

As you mentioned, One Plan Plus is an add-on. It will in fact qualify that line for top tier tiv when added. For $15 per month, I can upgrade a line or lines to One Plan Plus to qualify for top tier tiv on that line. However, I will never do it. My goal is to be patient and simply wait for other iPhone deals elsewhere to pop up to upgrade rather than keep playing with bill credits.
Don't get me wrong, I will still do T-Mobile 24 monthly bill credits when the deal is simply too good to pass up like the recent free iPhone SE 3 from T-Mobile. But I generally try not to mess with my grandfathered account just to score a new phone.
I currently have kickback, grandfathered insider, free P+, free AAA, multi-line autopay discount, Netflix for $4.50, Philo for $10, and other perks currently on One Plus Promo. Philo is billed directly by Philo, while Netflix is billed to my T-Mobile account.
I prefer to do BB or Costco deals where I can just complete the transaction and be done with it. Last year I was able to max out the killer iPhone 13 upgrade deal without involving T-Mobile bill credits. Not sure how this year will play out for the 14 but I can wait. Not sure I even want the 14 since there is no Mini and no sim slot.
Some newer reps don't even know how to do it even if they wanted. I think a lot of the really knowledgeable Tforce reps have moved on to other jobs since the merger. It's not the same T-Mobile since John left. We haven't seen any free line offers without strings attached for a long time now.

NGL, I am very happy with the changes made to my account. I get all of the above and more. I am a power user and dont like having my data getting deprioritized at any time. Netlflix used to be $3-$4, but its free now. They also added Apple TV Plus too for frree. Great job BTW!
