~$500-550 - New Starter golf set or used set a few years old example Callaway Edge set @ Costco (see my other posts for details about that set)... you could go really cheap and get something in the $200 range but you will quickly outgrow it and its resale value is trash.... borrow a friends clubs for a few times to try it out before you invest
~$0.25-0.50/ea. for used Balls // $1+ ea. for new balls - depending on type of course (florida tons of water vs NY/NJ tight course with lots of woods) expect to lose anywhere from 6-20 balls per round (depending on how stubborn you are)
~ $75 - 150 Golf Bag - good used $75+ // new $150+ (example Pebble Beach Branded Sun Mountain golf bag at costco ~$150)
~ $5-20 Golf glove
~ $10 big bag of tees that will last a very long time
~ $15-40+ golf polo shirt
~ $20-40+ golf shorts
~ $30-125+ per round @ a public or semi-private course w/ golf cart
~ $10-20 sneak in your own adult beverages
you can get away with wearing sneakers/trail runners in the beginning eventually you will want to get golf shoes/sneakers... pricing similar to any other sneakers/shoes ~$50-150
.... then you will get addicted, keep constantly upgrading your stuff in hopes that will fix your <insert swing problem>, maybe try your hand at club building, have an extra set just because, then eventually come full circle and go back to your original irons that you bought used because of that birdie you made that one time with them, then get frustrated and find a good pro and start taking lessons.... its a vicious cycle just like any other hobby except this one involves tons of people that think they are much better than they actually are who love to give unsolicited advice.
as the 'Golf Sidekick' on youtube says "par is for pros"

My skill level is around where people transition from game improvement to player-distance clubs. This one feels more like an improvement club to me.
I would jump at this price. I think I bought a demo one from their website at $204. I do not believe I have seen a single negative review even at the MSRP price point.
Mine is the following spec: 9.5° / FUJIKURA VENTUS RED 4T CORE 50 / R-FLEX

The Ventus Red shaft goes for 350 new on golfworks.....

That is going to be a less forgiving driver. Smaller head, lower spinning...If you are a really solid ball striker it's also a great deal.
249 shipped new? what makes it better?
