This product pairs with XLR mics with low gain to improve their volume without hisses and pops you might get from just cranking up the gain on your XLR audio interface. This is commonly used with the Shure SM7B for a very expensive, but very nice setup. It would sit between the Shure and something like the Motu M2. Youtube has tons of info and comparisons.
They also sell the cloudlifter used "open box" at $119, but won't stack the LABORDAY22 code with it. Seems worth $7 to get a new product.
Maybe there's other good stuff in here but the Cloudlifter jumped out at me https://www.wwbw.com/Labor-Day-Co...cid=305684
