    This is a decent deal and a decent entry point into pocket hole joinery . The deal here is it comes with the 2" face clamp. HD has this jig at the same price without the clamp. I've seen the the Kregg branded 2" clamp range for $20 to $30. A different branded clamp would also probably work but you'd still be paying additional for it.

    A different brand of clamp (HF has some cheapies) works to clamp the jig to the workpiece, but won't integrate well with the jig holder piece that makes it super quick and easy to move the whole shebang from place to place while maintaining the correct settings.

    Well, I'm in for one, been looking to get one for a while and yeah, this is basically "buy it and get the clamp free."

    This is a great tool and will make you quickly want to upgrade. It's easy to use, but their higher end jigs are even easier.

    I started with this but realized how much time I was wasting clamping it down and just got the K5 jig. This was soon before they released the 520.

    May not be likely here, but I'm always concerned when I see brand name products sold by third parties (that aren't the vendor) on Amazon. The chance of a counterfeit is a problem.

    I live 10 miles from their headquarters and it still took me nearly 50 years for me to buy a Kreg Jig. My god, they are awesome! I have the most basic one.

    They got me the first time on this and I bought it Smilie never used it . Then slick deal got me again and I bought the upgrade professionally kit with every and still never used it yet Frown one day I'll be a jig making machine but until then slick deal will just keep suckering me in more tools collecting dust in the garage.

    Have this Kreg 320 kit and I've used it a decent amount with no issues. Ive been using quick clamps since I'm usually drilling a lot of pocket holes at once and they are fast and good enough.

    Not sure the additional clamp is worth it. The 320 jig, however, is a great way to dip your toes into woodworking.
