I highly recommend anyone considering this deal to take screenshots of the deal, cart, checkout, etc. If I didn't have that information last year I would have been absolutely screwed out of $800 that I'm now receiving in bill credits. That $800 was supposed to be gift cards but after days of calling/texting for help I ended up in an Xfinity store where those printed screen shots and a helpful employee were able to at least get me those credits.

An additional reminder, if you want to preorder, you're limited to two preorders at a time. If your order is delayed this can knock you out of their promotional period so CYA with those screenshots of your actual order date/time and the offers at those times!

for new customers/new line trade in is not required but if you do trade in ... the $ they give you what happens to that? get applied as account credit?

Deal terms say "activation of new Xfinity Mobile line and transfer of phone number from another carrier within 30 days of phone purchase date ". Last year went for the S22 Ultra pre-order; delivery was delayed. XM CS confirmed that they count the 30 days with reference to the "delivery" date of the phone. I am getting the 24 months bill credits.

For safety : get on chat with Xfinity CS, ask the question, and take screenshot / pdf print of the entire chat transcript and keep for any escalation; also take screenshot / pdf of your cart / review / final confirmation.

I didn't see anything mentioning restrictions unlocking the device, but since you have to pay the remaining balance if you cancel I would assume you could get it unlocked.

the phone needs to be paid off before they can unlocked for you.


The phone must be fully paid off.
At least 60 days must have passed since the phone was activated.
Your Xfinity Mobile account cannot have a past-due balance.
The phone cannot be reported lost, stolen or involved in fraudulent activity.
The phone cannot be active on another Xfinity Mobile account.
Only an account holder, Primary user or Manager may request to have the phone unlocked.

I am on mint now. I want to port to xfinity mobile with my current iphone 11 to get $100 prepaid card. After that will I be existing customer to get $400 off for iphone 14? I dont understand what I need to upgrade once I become an existing customer.
Excuse me if this has been answered. I read 20+ pages and not sure what upgrade means here.

The BYOD prepaid card ($100 now, other times has been $50 / $200) terms say

Requires transfer of phone number from another carrier within 30 days of line activation. Must maintain the new line with an account in good standing for 90 days following line activation

During that 90 day period after transfer, you're maintaining the line as is; you can't stack the "upgrade" promotion until the 90 days are over (and to be on the safe side, until you get the prepaid card).

If you want the $400 off the iPhone - you can transfer your line as is (and if you wish, trade in the iPhone 11); or you can do the BYOD now, and wait for a future promotion for upgrade.

If you are maintaining the same account with xfinity internet (closing the old home and starting the new one on the same date) - there's no issue.

If you have overlapping dates (I started a second internet service for new house since I needed to keep WFH and didn't want a break; we were moving within the same town and did our move over 2 weeks); you can still keep XM. You'd need to talk to the CS to transfer the XM linkage to the new account instead of the old account.

No impact to the XM lines / charges.
