I highly recommend anyone considering this deal to take screenshots of the deal, cart, checkout, etc. If I didn't have that information last year I would have been absolutely screwed out of $800 that I'm now receiving in bill credits. That $800 was supposed to be gift cards but after days of calling/texting for help I ended up in an Xfinity store where those printed screen shots and a helpful employee were able to at least get me those credits.

An additional reminder, if you want to preorder, you're limited to two preorders at a time. If your order is delayed this can knock you out of their promotional period so CYA with those screenshots of your actual order date/time and the offers at those times!

Get Galaxy S22 Ultra, boycott iPhone 14 for eSIM only.

I just got the S22 and like it over the Iphone 12 Pro Max I swapped for it. There is a great deal from Best Buy right now for an unlocked S22U if you have eligible trade in. See the post,

That said I got an Iphone 14 for my wife from this thread too.

Question: Pls correct me if I am wrong. iPhone 12 price is 229$. If I use the xfinity line for one year and want to unlock. I should be paying only the remaining balance or the whole phone price..

No. I had to pay the remaining balance on my pixel 4a 5g that i bought from them. After I paid it off they unlocked it.

AFAIK, Xfinity requires you to port in within 30 days; and doesn't support porting a second number onto the first. You could try checking with Xfinity CS to confirm either way.

You can add line #3 in Month 2 (as a BYOD or another device purchase; XM usually has one "free" phone offer); and after activation, swap sims around. Since additional lines on By-The-Gig add only taxes as the cost - you may find this reasonably cost effective.
Thanks! I might just add another line but will check with customer support!

I just upgraded 3 of my existing lines 2 with iPhone 14 and 1 with iPhone 14 Pro paid taxes for each of them separately and all will be under monthly payment after taking $400 off of each. So price of phone minus $400 divided by 24 months which I think is awesome deal.

You'll pay the remaining balance, but you'll wind up paying 50% of retail because after one year, you will only have received half of the bill credits to drop it down to $229.

This looks like it's once again the best deal for a new iPhone this year, it still sucks compared to what Xfinity has done in the past though. The last two years I've been paying up front to get the $250-300 credit card, and unlocking immediately. This was a great setup because the credit is more than the depreciation of an iPhone over one year so I got a new iPhone every year I've been with Xfinity, after selling my old one on eBay. With my paid off (and thus unlockable iPhone) I was able to add Google Fi to the eSIM when I travel and leverage their much cheaper international data. Now being stuck with the 24 payment plan, I won't be able to upgrade next year, and I won't be able to unlock the phone without forfeiting at least half of the credit

Can you get the line and pay off immediately? How long will it take to get the phone unlocked then?

what's the point of doing that when you can buy the unlocked one from apple if you are paying full price?

The person you quoted very clearly thinks they can get the $400 discount on the phone...not pay full price. You correctly note that if you pay it off immediately, you lose the remaining 23 months of $16.xx credit, which means you *do* wind up paying full price. Lots of people on this site need to be spoon fed, but the good news is, once you feed one, a good percentage of the rest see that answer and don't have to ask the same question again.

Are people who pre-ordered right at open expecting their devices on Friday, or expecting the devices to ship Friday? Xfinity support seemed to imply it was the latter to me.
