As a Ryobi fan boy that has this tool, I can tell you it is literally the crappiest tool I have ever bought from Ryobi. Honest junk. The motor in this this is beyond week and totally bogs down and not worth the headache for using with a car even for the simplest task. I would avoid this buffer.

To me it's the HPf 2.0 battery that makes this deal. The orbiter is almost a freebie.
I agree!! $90 for the battery alone.

I'll buy this for fine hair scratches for my car.
Is it a good choice?

If you have other ryobi tools go for it, the battery itself is well worth it. As for the buffer it might be OK for light buffing and waxing, but I doubt it will be useful for any serious car scratch job.

This seems like a great deal, even though I don't need one.

Anyone has experience with this? Powerful enough for buff and wax?
Bought this a few weeks back (pissed I didn't get the battery deal). Anyway, used it on my minivan and 33ft motorhome and worked like a charm. Highly recommend

I can't agree more. This is one of the most worthless tools I have ever purchased.

i have both, this one and the 10.5. i was a zaino fan for many years, now both those tools sit unused. i would use the da polisher to apply, and the 10" to remove. but no matter what machine you have, there are always lots of places that have to be done by hand. it would take me a couple hours to apply, then wait, then an hour or so to remove. now i can do it all in less than an hour, and have way better results, amazing shine, and last much longer. try the new line of turtle wax hybrid solutions. save your money. if you must, the da polisher goes on sale at direct tools, last time was around 70 bucks, but tool only.

I bought this a couple years ago and used it a couple of times. But it is so weak and crappy that I had to redo everything by hand afterwards. Really surprised it works well for you!
