Good price, and I am a Costco fan but the waiting time for tire service at Costco can be long. Remember that you have to go back for periodic rotations, and the time adds up. PM Costco at a tire store and get faster service.

I just had Discount Tire price match a set of Cross Climate 2's. It came out cheaper at Discount Tire. The out the door price was I had added to the cart, before any taxes even applied. I also used this a few months back for the BFGoodrich deal, same deal with matching the cart price. This included labor, taxes and all other fee's which saved another $100 or 2.

This is normal promo for Michelin tires at Costco. Taking a look at the prices just now and they've gotten more expensive...dang inflation!

so I go into Costco and get a set of 4 tires for my Camry. The salesman refuses to sell me the tires I chose but would only sell me the most expensive set for my car . Do you see now how you "save $150 instantly"?
Drove over to just tires and got a better price ( saved $150 over the Costco save $150). If you don't get at least 2 estimates for your tires you are not "saving".
I've bought tires from Costco for the past 20 years. I've never had anything like that ever happen. I go in tell them what tires I want and they process the sale. They don't work on commission. I call BS on this.

Yes, I too would like to see the wording of the DT basic prorated road hazard warranty .

DT certificates don't seem to be worth it, especially since they expire after 3 years. However, I guess that it depends on if you are often driving in a high risk road hazard situation (potholes, construction debris etc.).

Quote from coolcat2 :
If price match with Discount tire, do they match Costco's 5 year road hazard warranty? I know Discount tire sells certificates for each tire, but it's an additional fee whereas it's included at Costco.
Buried in their website, they say they include a free prorated road hazard warranty. When I called discount tire they also said the free road hazard warranty was for the life of the tire, but I can't find that on the website.

In my area Discount Tire matches the Costco Price for the Defender but the Costco savings is $150 vs. $110 with Discount. $40 difference in price. Not sure if the Costco price is including tire install. Discount adds the install and tire disposal fees after the price.

I have never gotten a front end alignment on any car after buying new tires and never had any uneven tire wear. Is this something "suspension type " specific? Or are you referring to wheel/tire balancing? If so, I'm pretty sure Costco does it with installation.
Consider yourself lucky. I'm dealing with uneven wear on our Volvo XC90 right now, which may force me to get new tires sooner than I should.

I want a rotation and alignment deal; do people really get tires re-balanced?

I've found it does make a difference, especially after some miles.

We just got cross climate 2's on the wife's car under this promo Club even had them in stock and I was able to use my annual membership credit. Was over $200 cheaper than discount tire if you account for the install and road hazard.

Also got tires from Costco on another vehicle earlier this year and have been happy with the install and rotation appointments so far. No better or worse than waiting at the tire store, at least you can browse.

But you don't have to get tire rotations there- I got my tires from them but get rotations at the dealership because it's part of the oil change service-

No, most people do not get wheels rebalanced after they get new tires. Costco also doesn't do alignments.

Can you have other stores price match costco with the discount?
I do this all the time as I have Lifetime Alignment with Firestone. Just bring your chosen tire store a quote from Costco or show them the price and what is included with Costco's price for them to match and or beat.

Good tires, they really feel like they grip the road, but my Outback chewed through them like crazy. I was getting 27K miles out of a set of 4 brand new tires, they were warranted for 60-80K. Sam's did honor the mileage warranty and refund me the difference on the next set, but got tired of replacing all 4 tires yearly. Switched to Continental and it's been much better.

Just added tires to cart and there is a 17.99 install fee for each tire. Not sure how you got free install
