Good price, and I am a Costco fan but the waiting time for tire service at Costco can be long. Remember that you have to go back for periodic rotations, and the time adds up. PM Costco at a tire store and get faster service.

I just had Discount Tire price match a set of Cross Climate 2's. It came out cheaper at Discount Tire. The out the door price was I had added to the cart, before any taxes even applied. I also used this a few months back for the BFGoodrich deal, same deal with matching the cart price. This included labor, taxes and all other fee's which saved another $100 or 2.

This is normal promo for Michelin tires at Costco. Taking a look at the prices just now and they've gotten more expensive...dang inflation!

What makes them the best?
If you get a decent one and not the cheapest one, warranty is 75k, even longer than michelin.

My wife's Hankooks that came stock on her Elantra GT dry rotted and started breaking apart long before they were tread bare. They were 6 years old according to the sidewall code. Replaced with Mich's and they are so much quieter and better handling. Not trying to prove you wrong though, just stating my experience. On my car the OEM Hankooks were worn out at 34K. Always properly aligned, inflated and rotated. I'm sure road conditions somewhere else could possibly make the difference.
How picky is Costco about documentation of tire inflation, alignment, and tire rotations? The warranty language seems rather onerous. Yearly alignments. I have never done that.

He meant to say balanced. Costco doesn't have the laser alignment rack

Costco doesn't have the laser alignment rack. You need to use proper terminology.
Balanced not alignment because that is a $150 service and usually cost a lot more than a tire installation.

Meh. Longer warranty equals harder tires. I like 50k mileage tires. Better grip.

Any of your local auto/tire shop will include free tire rotation with oil change.

Quite a few of the discounted models are out of stock in my size. Looking for Pilot Sport 4 season. The site says they restock often, is this true? Or should I give up?

Deal is back on. Ends 9/25/2022 - must also pay for a tire install

https://www.costco.com/michelin.html
This is good deal, but both Costco and Sam's Club have very poor choice of tires (especially Costco). Discount Tire is somewhat better, and they will match wholesale clubs.

Speaking of Discount Tire, they have currently a very nice promotion on Pirelli tires: buy 4, get $110 off instantly, and there is a $70 rebate from Pirelli. This is the best tire deal currently, if you want Pirelli.

Usually Sam's have free installation around Thanksgiving.

The Michelins I just bought from Costco have a 80k warranty, not that I actually expect more than 50 - 60 k

This is not technically true. They charge $18.99 per tire for the install, it's just built into the price of the tires when you buy them.

Example: if the tires cost you $500…then $75.96 of that $500 was the installation fee.

However the rotation and balancing are free.

I was not aware of this before actually. Thank you for sharing. It's time for a tire rotation on my car

EDIT: Question - do you know if I have to go to the same Costco where I bought the tires for the free rotation servicing? Or is it transient between stores?

Also I'll mention that I bought the Michelin Pilot All-Season Sports wheels from Costco last time they had this deal. It's one of the cheapest deals for those AS performance tires as far as I've found so this is perfect if you're in the market.
