These are fairly long lasting under normal beach conditions. They are also extremely light to pack. By far the most popular beach umbrella. Like 50-75% of the umbrella on the beach are this umbrella.

But pro-tip. The sand anchor base sucks. Buy a $20 sand anchor on amazon like this
https://www.amazon.com/AMMSUN-Umb...B01EHMCHQG
Rip off the plastic one that comes with the umbrella. Then you keep the sand anchor attached to it. If the umbrella breaks, use the sand anchor on your next umbrella.

That sand anchor on amazon is easy to put in the sand, easy to remove, and the umbrella will not tip over.

I have 2 of these; they're okay. I wish the material in the sand anchor was more durable for more effortless screwing and weight distribution but you get what you pay for.

I'm a big fan of the matching beach seats, though. If those are also on clearance, I highly recommend them

It's frustrating that it's 2022 and Costco still can't show if they are in inventory unless you call
I love Costco and am a Costco apologetic, but this I 100% agree with. Let me be able to browse x.97 and x.00 for the love of god. If the point is to clear them out, it will help a lot Smilie

I have one, they're pretty beefy and kept up great in the wind.
I returned mine after a trip to the beach. Kept flipping in the wind.

I am surprised they even answer that on phone. They want you to go to store and walk out with $200 worth of unwanted stuff. Smilie

You misunderstood. The employees no longer have the ability to search in AS400 for .97 and .00 deals anymore. Corp took away the functionality ~5-7 years ago due to employee abuse of finding deals for themselves :[

I bought two of these, they lasted two beach trips before one broke in the wind. The wind that broke them was strong, but not unusual for a beach. For $10 they are a good deal.

I personally don't like these, even at $10. It's cheaply made and only lasts about a single summer (NJ). I find the Harmon's/FaceValue umbrellas to hold up better.
I've had these for 8 years and go to the beach almost daily all summer here in NY. I've only lost one after 5 years due to the plastic spine breaking. The other two are going like the day they were purchased. They're far from cheaply made and if you don't abuse or misuse them should last you years.
