i would like to have a gen, but the power rarely goes off and when it does its just for a second or two like this morning. the UPS all kicked in and keep things online. that terrible cold snap 2 years ago the power stayed on around here due to the shit pump station at the end of the block.

Costco normally sells the tri-fuel (gas/lpg/ng) for $800 or less (think it is 9500/7400).
I have that one- have had for over a year, but mine has mainly sat covered with its cover either in our shed or covered patio- some of the rubber hoses have cracked - so not impressed with that, but it runs well.

I used the code CLAYTONQ30 for the H08051 and it took another $254 off with no tax or shipping right now. I got it for $595 out the door... shipped. Great price for a 10,000W/8000W Electric Start Dual Fuel (LPG and Gasoline) Generator .

Probably a good idea to give hoses/general rubber a silicone spray every now and then just to increase longevity; keeping it out of direct sun and the elements will go far as well.

Amazing effin' deal on the H08051. Used the code yesterday, it worked, got shipping notification this AM.

I'm hard-pressed to see how you can improve on $595 to the door and no sales tax on a 10KW dual-fuel genny. Applause

Added bonus: In my neck of the woods - Nor. Cal. - the local electric utility (PG&E) is offering $300 rebates on select generator models to customers residing in areas prone to wildfire danger. The Firman H08051 is among those models. I applied and the rebate was approved, so net net, the genset is costing me under $300.

It may be worth it to check with the utility in your area to see if they offer similar rebates

Thoughts on getting the P06311 (comes to about $280 for me with code CLAYTONQ30) vs this Wen posted here? Lived in Maryland for 25 years and never owned a generator but could've used one several times to run a sump pump and freezer/fridge. The Firman wheel kit is $100+ which seems crazy...but the Wen has it:
