The scarce secondhand information available claims the use of an older g-sync module is responsible. And the panel is the same as the Acer XV272U KVbmiiprzx without the problematic low/locked backlight brightness. If you want variable refresh rate and use an AMD card like I do, best to look elsewhere. Good deal otherwise.
Edit: It is definitely different getting used to being a couple inches larger than my previous. The colors feel pretty close but will need to tweak slightly. Things run smooth with my current setup of r5 3600, 32gb ram 3200mhz, 980pro 1tb, and an evga 3070. Will continue to test but thus far I am satisfied with the purchase.
