I own them, they're very bright, and the rechargeable battery is removable. I would say it's worth it.

Can you tell us if the 18650 rechargeable battery is flat top or button top? Wondering if the 18650 battery area can accommodate a button top battery or if it's too small to allow for it.

The rechargeable batteries on these are nearly worthless but they cover all the other bases from a functionality standpoint once you put in regular AA batteries.

Thanks. I purchased the four pack of just battery operated the first time then the two pack of these rechargeable ones. All have been nice for the price. I picked a pack of these up as well because I plan to use these as stocking stuffers for the adults at Christmas.
