Decathlon Rockrider ST100, 21 Speed Mountain Bike, 27.5", Unisex, Red, Medium

A LIGHTWEIGHT, COMFORTABLE, FUN FRAME
It isn't always easy to get the right position on a mountain bike. Our designers created a frame that's easy to get onto.
The 100% aluminum CGF frame (Comfort Geometry Frame) is both comfortable and easy to handle. The slope angle has been designed to keep your back straight, while the rear bases were shortened to make the bike very agile in turns.
FRONT SUSPENSION
The 80 mm front suspension helps you get started with overcoming obstacles on slightly uneven trails easily.
Its mechanical spring is a stamp of reliability. And the fork is particularly easy to maintain.
To adjust the stiffness? It's very easy using a single dial.
DERAILLEUR & DRIVETRAIN
3 x 7-speed chainrings, 21 speeds total.
2 easy-to-use grip shifters on the handlebar.
Left (chainrings): control ascents/descents.
Right (speeds): more precise control over your pedaling.
HANDLEBARS, STEM, GRIPS
With a stem that tilts 10° upwards, the riding position of the ST100 is raised, accessible, and comfortable.
SADDLE
The saddle of the ST 100 is welded to prevent any movement of the saddle. Your comfort is our priority after your safety, we've added an exclusive wider Ergo fit saddle with a hammock shape.
Easily adjust the height of your saddle with the Flex steel seat post (350mm or 400mm long depending on the bike size). Its smaller 27.2mm diameter provides your seat with natural flexibility, 30% more than a standard solution.
V-BRAKES WITH PADS
Two V-Brake pads for effective braking.
These brakes are composed of calipers that exert more or less pressure on the rim to slow or stop the rotation of the wheels.
Thanks to the special design of the ST 100's aluminum brake levers, you only need two fingers to brake.
27.5" WHEELS & TIRES FOR DRY TERRAIN
The wheels of the ST 100 are tolerant and robust, with 27.5" double-walled 28-spoke rims (26" for the XS size). Start overcoming obstacles fearlessly, including small rocks, cracks, holes, and bumps!

This is a good price for a "meh" but fully serviceable bike - not mountain bike. Surely capable to ride around in city trails, commute etc while focusing at the lowest possible price, just don't try to follow your seasoned MTB friends on single track with this...think of it as "gravel" bike at best.

This is also not a $400 MSRP bike by any stretch of imagination, this is a $120-150 bike, or at least it was pre-pandemic.

Good value for riding around the neighborhood or gifting to a wife or a kid that won't try crazy shit on it.
I've seen this bike. There's a few of them in the endcap bike display. It seemed an odd looking bike at first, that's why I stopped and looked at it. Then I started comparing it with the 26" Schwinn next to it and figured out this 27.5" bike is a 26" bike with a extended seat. Looks kind of dorky IMO, like a low rider bike with long seat pipe.. You might want to look at it first before purchase. The $90-something Roadmaster looked better to me. Just my 2 cents.

It seems like a decent price for someone that casually rides like me.

This is a pretty good deal I'd say. I don't think it was ever worth the MSRP, but it's certainly a fine bike for $100.

I bought this a few months ago for $198. I don't know much about bikes but it seems nicer than my wife's $100 Walmart Roadmaster bike, so for $98 I'd say it's totally worth it if you need a basic bike. I do not plan on using this for actual mountain biking, just riding around town, parks and some dirt/gravel trails with my family.

I tried chatting with Walmart customer service about getting a price adjustment since it's still within the return period. After a lot of back and forth (first offered me a $5 promo code, then offered to help me with a return/rebuy) they finally offered me a $50 refund (best they could do apparently). It's not the full difference but it was worth it for a little bit of my time and not having to return/rebuy.

Well, just went for the medium for my son. Hope it's the right size. 90 day return... Gets it close to Christmas but not close enough! With the risk 😁

By chance did you check the tire size? I think they would have to be 27.5 to call it that size of bike. The product page says they are.

I would put some road tires on this one like what I have on my 26-inch MT bike (Schwinn from WM).
I am no slouch on it on bike trails but with larger diameter wheels/tires, it would be easier and I would sit up a little higher. I did see what you mean as well about the long seat post looking funny.
