I bought the microtec combo from the Amazon deal when it was 14 dollars and some change. Like most of the reviews on Amazon, First rod arrived broken in two pieces. Requested an exchange and the second one arrived fine. Not the best combo, but much better than a combo that's normally about 14 dollars. Comes with rubber rings to hold on the reel, or it's already ziptied.

Not sure how woots exchange policy is according to Amazon, but be prepared to send it back.

I've not used this specific combo, but if you aren't using a fish finder, I think an old school ice fishing pole is easier to use. If you are using a vexilar or the like, than a rod and reel like this is the way to go.
