Agreed.

Personally I think The Dark Knight is the pinnacle of the Batman movies. I can rewatch TDK over and over. But The Batman... no thanks.

If you don't care for digital, 4K disc is $3.99 to purchase at Redbox. It will give you an additional $2 off another movie at the kiosk too. Reserve it online to purchase at redbox.com

Was ok to watch, but too slow to own and re-watch. Robert Pattinson was dull in this but I'm not knocking him as an actor, the script was the reason.
I appreciated the fact that they didn't do that goofy Batman Synth Voice from the Nolan films but other than that....

Such a great movie! before the movie was released I had no idea why they chose to cast Robert Pattinson and i honestly thought they made a mistake. At least, until I watched the movie. An absolutely stellar performance.

The audio and digital transfer is considered excellent by uhd disc review sites. This is a worthy one to own if you want to demo your Dolby Vision and Atmos setup.

I'll be waiting for that price. If it doesn't happen then, I'll reassess my options. AFAIK, most or all DC Comics 4Ks have hit $10 on Black Fridays.

It's a tough call between that one and Batman Begins. I'm leaning toward BB only because I thought TDK was a little meandering in parts and just a little bit too long. That Heath Ledger performance is a very hard act to follow though.

When I watched The Batman, in between swaths of not much happening, I was wondering why they choose to have the fight scenes as they did. As-in, I couldn't really distinguish much difference between these and any other Batman film I've seen. If this was early on, you would think Batman would be more brawler.

At the end of Batman 1989, Batman temporarily gets his butt kicked by that one single Joker thug. Fan nerds bitched about it at the time but how cool and cinematic that fight was. This film needed a lot of that and a little less dialogue. Something to raise the stakes and make Batman use stealthy tactics to Avoid lengthy fights.

Paul Dano is also a great actor with little to do in this movie until he freaks out in a cell at the end.

BTW: Maybe you can answer this because frankly, I almost fell asleep in The Batman. Did Batman actually Crack the case?? I thought Riddler was arrested just because someone saw him in a coffee shop. lol.

Riddler got himself caught.

I didn't have high hopes for this movie but I really liked it a lot as a lifelong huge Batman fanboy. It hits the right notes for me in the type of Batman story I prefer. It does have flaws, but I thought it was one rewrite away from being the best Batman movie. So close, and so much to like, but needed to be tighter and have a little more consistency in the approach to a second-year Batman.

Pattinson was fantastic in the suit.

Very much disliked the story and extreme slow pace of this movie.

Hollywood lost themselves in the political correct sh*t. Their originality and creativity are long gone. Only thing left is super heroes remake type of boring stuff and sequels, prequels, yada yada. 💩
This is VERY different than what you are imagining
