I just wanted to say that these games are awesome and worth every penny
You have a bad take. Heist is essentially a 2-D xcom and is awesome.

The Dig games are great. Just my opinion about Heist: I love xcom. my issue with heist is that it was too simple. Not saying it was easy though. So it led it to being kind of boring for me. Id rather just play thru xcom again.

Steamworld Dig 2 is a particular fave and we'll worth jumping straight to rather than the original imho.
I prefer the first one.

Any feedback on SteamWorld Quest?
Maybe the 1,000+ reviews on Steam? Does anyone know how to use the Internet?

Steamworld dig 2 is one of the best metroidvanias out there, steamworld heist is an awesome turn based tactical rpg, those 2 are essential. Steamworld dig 1 was good and quest I've never played

Dig and dig 2 are two of my favorite platformers.

i just purchased SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition and have to say...what a dud. don't get me wrong, it's a great deal but the game itself isn't a game at all. there's no gaming involved...it's a "tap your finger on the screen here" and then watch your player walk to the tap point...then tap in another spot on the screen.

gonna go nap now because this dumb "game" made me super sleepy.
Were you expecting a turn-based game to... not be turn-based? Are JRPGs also not games because the combat is entirely menu based?

I have the opposite take. Granted, I love, love turn-based strategy games, but I think Heist is brilliant. I've played through it three or four times. I always describe it to people as a combination of XCOM and Worms. Normal mode is a bit too easy, so I'd recommend raising the difficulty, but that's really my only beef with it.

I keep hoping for Heist 2. I know Steamworld's thing is the same basic steampunk setting in different genres, but they did a sequel for Dig, so I'll keep hoping.
