This version cuts up to 1/2" of wood in one pass. With multiple passes you can cut up to 0.7". The spot size of the 455nm diode laser was also improved compared to other laser engravers and the 5W version. It's now a 0.06mm fine dot which helps with finer engraving and better engraving and cutting performance overall.
This laser engraver supports engraving files from a micro SD card, so there's no need for a laptop to be always running streaming the data for the engraving process.
It has a 16.34" x 15.75" engraving area.
The setup is relatively easy, as well as the focusing process.
