Just bought this but in white, way better than spending over $1k.
The quality is really damn good and it's pretty hefty for the price. Pretty straight forward to install, hardest part was putting the top piece on (aligning the screws and pegs). It does heat up, and comes with a remote. The fireplace is not thick and you can store or hide things in the back. It comes really nicely packed with lots of Styrofoam.

If you get it with Amazon and you can have it delivered in a specific room for only $20, or if you just need help carrying it upstairs. Weighs and supports up to 120 lbs.

Tip: Don't over-tighten the screws, and make sure to keep screws loose until everything is in place.

Guys, I hope I'm not out of place saying this - but if it destroyed all the electronics in and above it's 'fireplace' like some of you suspect, would it be selling at Walmart?

I feel like there would be a whole lot of lawsuits if that were the case.

This is my first reply in what feels like an entire year. I had to say something because of all the fighting.

This one from Walmart, a Mainstays brand, is $150 ($210 reg) and looks more natural. More colors available for cheap. It doesn't have the shelf lighting, but $110 less. Pretty sure it's the same manufacturer, as the information looks like it's made the same. I just want the fireplace look and room for my stereo. Similar rating.

This one isn't the cheapest, less than the OP unit at $253, but it has more room for components. I want to be able to hook up my receiver for the first time in a year and put some of my components that don't output lots of heat behind the doors. Then just use a small LED strip light for shelf lighting.

I had one of those fireplaces fit perfectly under my student desk, very little clearance needed. Heat blows out the front. It was a nice touch in the home theater
