Pre-covid / inflation madness this machine routinely was on sale around $450 and if you were patient you could get it for $385-$400 once or twice in a calendar year.

The new normal "deal" price is $550 with the occasional $500-$525 range.

got one at Bed Bath & Beyond before covid at around $400 stacking in store discount and email promo code.

It DOES get finnicky when switching beans - so if you're the type of person who has 4 bags of coffee sitting around and rotates daily that could be a headache. Sometimes switching coffees takes 1/4 of a bag to dial in a new bean to make good espresso.

That aside, if you get your favorite bean from your favorite roaster dialed in... it makes consistent espresso day after day after day without fiddling.
