I'd purchased a plastic Squatty Potty years ago but left it behind at an old apartment. When I went to purchase a new one I found that the bamboo version is only $24.99.

I like it because you can flip it between two heights depending on the height of your toilet and whichever is more comfortable. It's also angled nicely, where the plastic version had your feet flat.

It ships flat, some assembly required. It comes with the necessary tool (hex key) and took me about five minutes.

This will help those with constipation, particularly those related to their pelvic floor muscles not working properly to encourage defecation. This may be due to history of excessive straining, prolonged labor (women), or history of poop holding. Just need your knees above your hips to get into a squatting position, which is an anatomically favorable position for pooping. A simple footstool or stacking a couple old phonebooks should do the same trick for much less money.

For those with pelvic floor issues causing defecation issues, you would most likely benefit from working with a physical therapist to learn biofeedback exercises to strengthen the muscles and facilitate their coordination to help you poop better. This will help fix the underlying issue.

Aside from the above, eat your fiber, fruits and veggies, and drink sufficient amount of fluids to help ensure you keep your poop soft and smooth. And yes, keep your time on the commode swift and focused. Stop browsing Slickdeals on your phone while pooping like you are now (avoid distractions Smilie )

Happy pooping! 💩
Warning: squatty potties are actually pretty great, but they have this side effect where when you don't have one after using one it is harder to go
I call bullsquat! LOL!

But seriously, I'm a medical doctor. There are no risks to using these kinds of stools. Somebody made that up, and it's wrong.

When I bought my stool I was going to get this one but went with the Tushy instead because Wirecutter said it was easier to clean.

I also had the regular Squatty Potty at one point and it worked fine, although the Tushy is a lot nicer.
