i own the sony NC head phones and these. i would have to say that for sound and hours of comfort these are the best headphones i have ever used. i like the functions on the sony a little more but will take the bose any day.

agreed. I own both Bose QC35II and Sony xm3 and while the Sony pair has a few nice features, my wife and I both vastly prefer the Bose for long wearing sessions - they're much more comfortable because of the angled driver inside the earcup.
I'm debating grabbing a pair of NC700 or the QC45s, but not sure yet. This deal will be tempting if I see it next time I'm at Costco.

For anyone that used QCs before; no, this is not that comfortable. Bose 700 is likely designed for appearance than the functionality. Which quickly bashed on because majority of the targeted audiences don't really care about the looks. The only thing that this is superior to QCs is the noise reduction on low frequencies but that's probably due to the fact that headphone clamps on your head much harder to isolate more noise (passive cancelling).
Just my 2 cents though. Nonetheless, I think it is a great headphone for $200.
Loved my NC700 for a year and a half until the bluetooth w/ my iphone started cranking max volume when I would come off mute. Bose replaced them with another pair of NC700 that had the same problem with the original iphone (8 plus) and now my iphone 12 (went through the trouble of upgrading phones because I loved the NC700). Bose replaced them with QC45 and I am not having the issue any longer. That being said, the NC700 are a superior headphone in my opinion in every aspect. The QC45 is great, but the NC700 was just something else.

I have these Bose 700 headphones and the QC35's. For those that are interested, below is my experience. TLDR: This is a great price and I recommend them.
The Bose 700 headphones have better audio quality and are a more stylish design than the Bose QC35 headphones. When I first bought them, people would stop and ask me what type of headphones those are because they have a modern, sophisticated look. However, the design has some quirks, for example there are no volume up/down buttons, you instead slide your finger on the outside of the right earcup to increase or decrease the volume. That takes some getting used to, but it works. Do I miss buttons having more buttons? Yes, but the sound quality for me is wonderful and they are very comfortable for multi-hour wear.
The QC35 (series I and II) are excellent headphones and were my go-to headphones for many years. They have buttons galore (volume, pairing, etc.). They are also very comfortable, especially if you upgrade the foam in the earcups (I like the wickedcushions ones, and recommend them if you own the QC35s). Though I still have the QC35s, I reach for my Bose 700 headphones 100% of the time now. I have also owned similar Sony and Anker headphones which, though they both had an amazing battery life and super crisp audio (and the sony had slightly better noise cancellation), they didn't have the robust sound I was looking for, so I gave them to family members.
At this price, it is a no-brainer for Bose 700's if it is available at your local Costco, especially with their return policy.
