And an article that says the S6, S7, and S8 chips are the same. (Note: SE gen1 has S5 chip. Article above saying S8 is 20% faster than S5.)

It appears that SE and SE2 have mostly the same features except for the chip, so it's a matter of whether someone wants to pay extra $50 for the latest generation.
