I think I can answer the question without being a total D.B.
When I signed up for the PlayStation store (physical merchandise) it made me sign up with a brand new account. Same email address as my PSN stuff but it didn't recognize my login at all until I created a new account.
So I do not believe they have a backend way to tie your PSN credit to the physical store, so no I do not believe you can pay with PSN credit.
I hope this helps!

I feel like we should wait because half of these will likely make it to PS+ free. Im holding out for HZD myself
Horizon Zero Dawn complete edition was given away last year as part of Sony's stay at home initiative. It was given free to everyone who owned a PS4 or 5. So it'll likely never come to PS+

Can you use funds in your Playstation store account to buy physical games or is that just the Microsoft store only?
