Looks like an awesome deal but it looks like it has the older attachments. The new ones come with the Motorbar™ cleaner head (for hair) and hair screw tool.

Do you guys have any experience with the fluffy head and high torque head when it comes to hair cleaning?
The V10 never came with those attachments. In order to get those you will have to go with a high tier V11 or a V15. You should also be able to buy them separately if it suits you.

Hi blood thanks for the response. On the dyson website it is included on the newer v10.

Ahh ok I see, then this one just lacks the hair screw, and maybe one or 2 of those other ones.

The real expensive attachments are the heads (fluffy being the most) so it would be cheap to buy those aftermarket

As an aside, the screw attachment didn't come originally on the v10 absolute, it debuted on the v15, so they must be trying to bundle old stock to bring up the price

I believe they announced that's the standard on older models as well going forward.

It looks like after market the motorbar and the fluffy are around the same price. The hair tool is a nice to have if you have pets but not a game changer to me. The motorbar can be a game changer but there isn't many reviews on it at this time unfortunately Frown

Ahh I see, yea I guess they did replace the OG cleaner head with the new motor bar on all units.

Not sure how critical it is vs. the "Torque Drive" cleaner head, as they both do functionally the same thing, one just has a polycarbonate claws for detangling hair.

The screw attachment is $50, but I imagine you could probably get it used for like $30.

I'm upgrading from a 4-5 year old V8, so it's quite a large upgrade for cheap for me. My V8 is definitely in it's death throes.

I have 3 girls in my house. Does this cause hair wrap on the brush roll? I have a shark cordless, and it is pretty good with that regard.

FWIW, both the fluffy attachment and the torque drive heads are upgrades over the original V8 absolute heads.

It looks like you could also sell the torque drive head for ~150 and buy the one with the comb for a small increase if you are into that.

I suppose it all comes down to need. I don't mind "detangling" my V8 as it is super easy to get the roll out (literally I use one turn of a butter knife or a coin). I assume that the Torque drive is probably a bit better in all of these regards than my OG V8 motor head.
