only issue is battery; brushless motors last extremely long time unless you mess with electronics

v10 has different design more dirt capacity before empty but you have to take off your wand before emptying compared to v8 and older

it's intuitive either way but just know it's different

some older models can't supply enough power to powered accessories like the laser detect heads or whatever cause of amp draws; that's a battery issue of how it gets shared with the motor

Slickest deal on the V10. With a roller that's worth $120, can't beat it.
My previous dyson was a v7, also bought refurb from dyson ebay 5 years back. Got water into the motor, but it still runs somewhat ok.

FYI, after this went OOS, I kept refreshing and was able to order one.

The v10 total clean is on sale for the same price. From reading that seems to be the best model of the v10s?

The name is confusing but the best or the one with most stuff is always Absolute. So Absolute > Animal > Total Clean.

Have yet to receive tracking. Just got an email about the warranty being active for the vacuum. However, it shows the machine as being a SV12 absolute. Anyone else get same email or does it show as V10 on yours? No clue what is coming at this point lol

I did the same thing! Original battery died after 4 years. Replaced with battery from Amazon and voila!
