This has no known antidote... AKA, once an animal eats this, there is no recourse.

If you want to have a chance at saving an animal that has ate the posion you have out, use the blocks with Diphacinone

Outside of rare edge cases, I'd recommend people use poison as an absolute last resort if at all for rats/mice. A rat that eats the poison isn't going to just immediately drop over dead - it's going to wander elsewhere and have increasing issues functioning, greatly increasing the chances a predator - whether that's a bird, cat, or say your neighbor's dog will eat it and also get poisoned.

Had a rat problem under the deck and wood pile, tried numerous traps, coagulation poison, nothing worked. Put these out and bam, no more rat problem. Few days later found a big dead rat when I cleared the wood pile. I've since blocked off the deck and raised the wood pile off the ground. Gonna stock up just incase

For rats, I've had success with glue traps. Good quality snap traps for mice. Putting out food for neighborhood feral cats also helps keep the general vermin population down.

Funny I see this tonight as I was starting to get low on my bucket of mouse poison. Last time I bought it in the same size it was around $30 so this is definitely a great price.

Last night I went to check my bait station. I opened the top and there was a mouse in there eating it!

The cats are worse than the rats, they sneak into the shed and pee on everything.

This is what we use to avoid collateral damage.

The Tomcat brand snap trap (black plastic) works very well and can be reused. I've had the best results with those traps. Better than sticky pads, electric zappers, old-school wood snap traps, etc. The poison works ok, but you risk collateral damage to other animals and pets, as mentioned. And one time, a rat ate our poison and died in a very hard-to-reach spot in our house cavity. It stunk like rotting death for over a month. The Tomcat snap traps have multiple holes in the back that you can use as anchor points, just in case.

I'll just leave this here, lol.

In all seriousness, I recommend the flip n slide that Shawn Woods promotes on his website. Not cheap for the OG one, but it works if you have a place where they frequently break into and ravage over and over (garage, for example)

Forgot to mention bait. Peanut butter works, but just be careful that larger pests (raccoons) don't commander all of it and then just stare at you like you're an idiot...
