Most people take this for meeting the new credit card spending requirement to earn bonus points.

FYI, if you get Visa and MasterCard GCs, use them quickly. I had a few $100 and $200 GCs from a churn awhile back and hackers ended up using my funds for random purchases at Amazon and other online retailers. There's no way to get those funds back.

Great deal for churning credit cards. Back when you could simultaneously apply for a southwest plus and premier, or w/e they were called, to get both and stack the bonuses for a companion pass, I walked into Walmart to buy $4500 in Visa gift cards. They thought I was from a different planet. Good times!

Great way to meet spend for SUBs in one fell swoop in the good ol' days. Nowadays, liquidation avenues seem have been mostly closed. The Staples deals are still good for getting bonus points on office supply purchases.

Yeah, most people on here will complain about carrying the float though.

Great deal. Unfortunately, no Staples in my area. Lots of Office Depot and OfficeMax.

Does it have to be a single $200 card? Or 4x $50 will also qualify?

For those with the chase business ink cash card you get 5% in points.
I buy some when I have to pay insurance, extra points compared to just using a 2% card normally.

Agreed. Normally I would use Visa/MX GCs to pay for Progressive Car insurance or renters insurance as they accept CCs. But for Q4 , PayPal is available option for the Freedom and Freedom Flex.

Progressive also accepts PayPal. So I'm thinking of prepaying Auto Insurance for the next year when I'm up for renewal at the end of this year. Saving the Visa GCs for random one offs when Q4 is ending.

Besides paying off random things, there's no way to liquidate this Visa cards right?

If not what are some other good categories to spend the visa gcs on?

Poor value would be Amazon since many people have their card.

Insurance, maybe groceries?, phone bills, utility, what else?

Due to internet, most avenues of churning have been exploited and shut down. Heck, many credit cards are offering 5% so it's extra effort to liquidate if you have enough credit cards...
