Most people take this for meeting the new credit card spending requirement to earn bonus points.

FYI, if you get Visa and MasterCard GCs, use them quickly. I had a few $100 and $200 GCs from a churn awhile back and hackers ended up using my funds for random purchases at Amazon and other online retailers. There's no way to get those funds back.

In my area, you really have to be there first thing Sunday morning as the doors open for these VISA gc deal. Last couple times I went on Sunday afternoon/evening, and the managers said all 400-500 gift cards were sold out in the morning.

I really wish either Staples would carry Whole Foods gf or WF would start accepting Amazon gc.

I believe he is stating that many cards offer 5% rotation categories: Here is my personal cards i carry:

target 5% CB
Amazon 5% CB
Discover 5% CB (Rotating categories)
Chase Freedom 5% CB (Rotating categories)
Apple pay: apple card 2% CB

everything else goes on my citi double cash back 2% CB
Yeah that is what I figured. Discover and Cash both capped at 1,500 a quarter. Target and Amazon only apply to their store. I believe apple pay only gets 2% when you use card in stores vs online.

Right now city is on my list to replace my current card. Sucks I am about to lose my 2.5% everywhere. I like not having to think about the card I need to use.

yeah the cap limit on both discover and chase sucks but for me i dont spend that much unless there is a good deal on SD. Amazon and target yes they are targeted to their own stores but with the majority of my spending being on amazon i think its totally worth it. same goes for target.

i think 90-95% where i live have been accept apple pay (ATL, GA) but then i have citi for 2% as backup

Great deal for churning credit cards. Back when you could simultaneously apply for a southwest plus and premier, or w/e they were called, to get both and stack the bonuses for a companion pass, I walked into Walmart to buy $4500 in Visa gift cards. They thought I was from a different planet. Good times!
Can you not simultaneously apply for both anymore?

Hi can you pay insurance with multiple gc? I am a new driver and my insurance is usually 1200+ for half year, that means at least 6 gc to cover.
I have been able to use multiple GC, but I did have to call in and do it over the phone. The website/app didn't allow for split transactions. Probably varies from company to company.

Do these debit Visa gift cards come with a pin number?
pin number is the last 4 digits or you can set your own pin online

Just for your note, those card can't be used at pump , though it says it can. It never works for me, tried different gas station, also have my personal PIN set up.no help. Good for basic grocery shopping..

Not sure any one encountered same problem.

Not at the pump, but you can always go in the store and prepay. That works.

Most people don't know that these Visa GC are great for putting them in your VUDU profile because VUDU charges sales tax based on the billing address of the credit card. With this card, you can put a phony Delaware or Oregon billing address. VUDU will think you're in sales tax free state. VUDU is just one example.

There is a second and more powerful use for these GC which I've been using for decades, because you can incur a negative balance on them and the card issuer won't be able to ask you to pay the difference because they don't know where you live.

Apple Card only gives 1% CB. Only if you use Apple PAY do you get 2%.

Some stores online have an Apple Pay logo right next to a Paypal logo WHILE IN CHECKOUT. Those places give 2% CB.

I buy roughly $2k to $4k per promo. I don't do this for SUB, I do it for the 5X on my ink. I can accrue over 100k a year which will cover a week long vacation at a decent Hyatt property. I'm at a point where there's not a lot of SUB cards to sign up to as I only care for Chase and Amex points. Other award programs are not as attractive. Citi maybe okay but there's not a lot of City cards that you can apply.
