Wow, this price is really tempting. I already have a pair of these and they're great headphones, but I might order a 2nd pair at this price, just to keep a backup pair. I highly recommend these. However, keep in mind these headphones are power demanding. You need a good amp to make them sound great. I have a Burson Soloist 3xp, but a Schiit Jotunheim is good enough.

Looks like the answer is yes after reading a couple of pages of this forum, which you should read for yourself if you want to spend this much money. I am not yet in the market for new headphones but keeping my eyes/ears open for potential replacements when the time comes.

The JDS Labs Atom Stack will suffice as well as the Drop's THX AAA 789 or the THX AAA Monolith by Monoprice, but these amps would likely not exploit these headphones' soundstage and full resolution. They would not sound thin, but not as good as they sound with good headphone amp. Some people say: Buy high end headphones first, amps will come after. I think its a good approach. I first had the Drop THX AAA 789 amp when I received my HE6se from adorama, later on, probably 2 years later I bought the Burson Soloist 3XP.

I have the Sundaras which I barely use. Will these offer much better sound quality?
