Has anyone had any experience with this soundbar? I was really interested in it, given that it was made by LG & included the surround modules, but after reading rting.com review of the LG SP7R 5.1, I'm not so sure. It rated it as "decent" for mixed usage, not exactly a glowing comment.

Don't get it. The bass is very weak and there is really nothing special to this. I returned it some weeks back. Budget Vizios sound better than this.

I agree, I had a Vizio 7.1 system, from Costco. the sound was excellent, especially considering the sale price, however after 18 months & many firmware updates, it still had ARCe conection issues, so I returned it. Guess you can't win

The ratings is for the model LG SP7Y not SP7R

Not sure what the difference is.

Sorry for any confusion on the model numbers. I ws told by an LG CSR that the 2 models are identical; the SP7R is for Costco, while the SP7Y is the open market model, but same soundbar. And you know you can always believe a CSR, lol! Hope this helps.

Can younreturn to costco even after 18 mnthd? Having same issue with my vizio sb-46?

Yes, you can, I received a full refund. For some reason a soundbar is not considered electronic equipment, so it has an unlimited time return. Good luck.

One is probably a Costco specific model. Many Manufactures do this, they're usually similar, but may be missing a minor feature. It's so price-matches can be difficult with other dealers.

Wow. Why would you return an item after using it for 18months. I am not judging or commenting. Just trying to genuinely understand. I came from a small business family, where we struggled when people return something.
