Who remember DTO used to charge only $9 for shipping?
I do and I remember us all complaining then too. Lol

Anyone have experience with the string trimmer? I see it only has one line and pretty thin gauge. I'm currently fighting an Echo 2 stroke carb that I just replaced. Very powerful when it runs, with 4 lines of .105. But dependability sux. I have a big yard and the 4ah batteries.
This is a bargain-basement Ryobi trimmer and you get what you pay for.
Heavy (unbalanced) head, annoying string loading, off/on trigger that will whip everything at max speed when activated, and no changeable shaft or any other goodies.
It's not bad for the price, but IMO you have to be a masochist to use this for any length of time and/or on a large property. Do yourself a favor and spend more money to get another model with a variable speed trigger and an easier loading spool.
I had a model very similar to this one initially and after a year on a small lot I grabbed a used Ryobi P2009 on eBay for $39. Best money I ever spent on an upgraded tool.
It's balanced and doesn't kill my back, I never even engage "high" on the switch, the variable trigger is like using a scalpel vs bludgeoning things with "on/off" operation, and the rare times I do have to add line you just pull the string to the middle and crank wind it quickly and automatically into the spool.
Some might want the version similar to the P2009 that has a removable head (Expand-It) for use with other tools. Didn't matter for me though.
The P20110VNM on DTO is closest to what I just described (and mine) and would be a huge improvement. It's more $ but it's so much better.

As someone who has used a lot of lawn equipment and different electric and gas powered ones, I think the one+ ones are just too weak but if you're going for it make sure you stick with the brushless
No clue about their mowers, but the Ryobi brushless string trimmer and blower work great for me on a normal suburban corner plot. I guess it depends on your yard because I can edge and use the blower for clean up on everything around here with no issue. Usually I kill one 4ah battery between the 2 but I often have some power left after doing everything.
Considering the convenience of cordless power, lack of any maintenance, and the fact that the tools themselves are pretty quiet.... they are a better fit for me than gas stuff around here. I'm not sure how the extra power for a string trimmer or blower would provide any benefit to me, but YMMV based on your property obviously.

Now you just get the box for $15. We'll have a say in a little over a month for a chance at easing the pain.

Lol you're trolling right? This is owned by tti, the people who own Ryobi
That person you're responding to obviously knows nothing about DTO. But that's cool, more for the rest of us.
Let them continue to think "blemished" actually means anything negative while they run back to HD to return a battery and charger to save a few $ and feel proud they "hacked the deal". People are weird.

For my limited DIY purposes I think I am better served by corded tools in general other than a cordless drill and impact driver.

Meh. Nothing really caught my eye except for the compression crown stapler and it might not get here before Christmas. laugh out loud

I ordered a few times from them. One of them took close to a month. The last one with the cordless saw took less that a week. It's hard to tell the times it takes for the shipping.

Usually if they have a big sale it'll take weeks.

Look on the "possible" bright side. I placed an order earlier this year and two months later it was canceled. I emailed DTO asking what happened and why it took two months. DTO apologized and gave me free shipping on the next order. Found a couple of good factory blem Ridgid deals, inflator for $34 and 6ah max bat for $67, and placed the order. Have not received the FS credit yet but the items have not shipped either. Will it happen before Christmas...

Where is the deal, exactly?

What justified SD artificially pumping TU's into this thread and moving it to the front page (with a "fire" symbol to boot)?

Is it a paid promotion from DTO? If so that should be disclosed...

These "weekly" DTO promotions are all getting pushed front page and each one gets more lackluster than the one before it.

There are a few listed. Even better if you live near one and can save on shipping.
