I was looking to cash out a gift card and noticed they added a Walmart gift card option, and they are adding 5% bonus. Goes from $5-200.

I held out for YEARS after doubling my money on that deal - like $2000 between 3 cards.

Now the best, repeatable, deal seems to be around the Holidays when they offer Happy cards @ 20% discount, and the card is accepted at Lowe's where you can buy 3rd party GC with it, so for me it's basically an Amazon 20% discount. That's happened the past 2 or 3 years.

I used Amex on a recent purchase at Lowe's along with some discounted gift cards. Amex only will pay up to whatever I charged on the card.

Not worth spending points on it imho. Discover offers 10% off most popular gift cards. 5% is just pathetic.

Not a great option for use of the rewards...either hold out for a another shell deal (unlikely), or use your reward points with the companies you shop that offer 15% or 20% value - Bath and Body Works - 20%, Nike - 20%, Lowe's - 15%, and pair them up with a Slickdeal on the purchase/redemption!
