Surprised no one has mentioned this already (and maybe that's because it's in the item description), but this is not designed as an EDC. This is more or less designed to be kept in your car in case of an accident. It has a knob at the base for busting out windows and a seatbelt cutter. Just wanted to clarify that as one of the reasons this would make a poor EDC.

I can't vouch for the quality--the lines of Kershaws that are made in China aren't really in the same league as their US-made lines (there are plenty of nice knives being made in China right now, just know Kershaw's reputation is mostly based on their US-made stuff). But I'd like to think Kershaw's name at least means it's nicer than the $10 no-names you find on Amazon that will just spontaneously fall apart from rattling around in your glovebox.

Ordered this a month ago. Felt cheap. Definitely not an EDC. Returned it. Recommend getting a different kind of Kershaw.

I think the 3.5" blade is longer than some local laws allow. The "SpeedSafe" deployment is also a gray area in some places. I know knife laws in Washington State are pretty goofy as an example. You are more than welcome to walk around public places with an AK47 slung over your shoulder and a handgun in your pocket, but any OTF style knife is illegal.

I have this knife. It's fine for emergencies but very heavy. Holds a good edge and perfect for your glove box.
