About this Item:
  • The Decibel folding knife is the perfect accessory no matter the activity or the location: at work, for everyday carry, in the warehouse, garden, or car
  • Kershaw's Decibel pocketknife features quality 8Cr13MoV stainless blade steel; both blade and handle have dark matte-gray titanium-carbo-nitride coating
  • Unlike a standard drop-point blade, the Decibel's tip is positioned downward, allowing users to make piercing cuts with ease and confidence; blade steel offers good edge retention and corrosion resistance
  • Dark-gray finish is offset by an aluminum pivot collar and backspace, both anodized in bright blue for an eye-catching design; reversible pocket clip decoratively echoes the lines of the knife
  • Kershaw is dedicated to intensive craftsmanship; along with extremely tight tolerances and state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, Kershaw knives provide a lifetime of satisfying performance

Midway requires $49 order for free shipping. So unless you are getting some other items there, it may be better to get the Amazon offer posted.

Like search Amazon for any D2 folding knife.
Plenty of well made knives out there with better steel and better handle material.
Being the decibel is made in China try Sanremnu/ Ganzo/Adimanti/Free Tiger/Petrified Fish/Schrade/firebird.

I need specifics if you want something.

I'm very familiar with knives and I have anything from ganzo to kershaw to few others but when you say that statement above back it up with a replacement option instead of just bashing on that....

Also D2 is no where as easily to sharpen and rusts easily if you don't take care of it.

I live less than 10 miles from the ocean and I have never had any of my D2 knives rust, at all.
Proper maintenance is key.
D2 isn't that bad to sharpen/ maintain a working edge.
Now if we're talking CPM-M4 and CPM-S110V steel then yeah they are a bit of a pain in the butt to sharpen but not impossible.
Don't see why you think I'm bashing you by asking questions.
So here's some backup:

https://www.amazon.com/Sitivien-F...92&sr=8-37

Here's a steel body, better steel.
https://www.amazon.com/Schrade-SC...92&sr=8-51
https://www.amazon.com/Oerla-Tran...92&sr=8-59

Some 440C knives ( same as 8cr13mov)
https://www.amazon.com/Firebird-F...2&sr=8-161
https://www.amazon.com/Firebird-F...2&sr=8-175

14c28n steel ( a step up from 8cr13mov )
https://www.amazon.com/Ruike-Tact...C77&sr=8-7
https://www.amazon.com/Y-START-Fl...C77&sr=8-8

VG-10 ( 8cr13mov can't compare)

Ha, for once the sparring in a (any) comments section led to all of us winning. While I'm not sure those knives met the same esthetics as the OP, they are really really nice alternatives. Thanks guys
