Every one I buy under $200 is nearly identical. The Dewalts I had actually burned up just as fast at the Harbor Freight ones. I'm now using th $70 Blaine's fan that was on sale and I have 3 of the Memards, $50 fans coming soon (when my inlaws drive down from up north.)
So, buy the cheapest version of this fan you can find, because I'd you're not spending $700-$2,000 on it, it'll basically be the same fan everyone else sells.

But yeah, you're probably right about so many being the same. When I had a shop down there (118th Ave, near the speedway) I inherited some BIG industrial fans with the space that did the trick for the Florida summer heat.
