My 8-year old has been using a pair each of these at school and home for over a year, still no problems, and he's hard on items like this. For $10, they're pretty durable.

I actually dont mind the wired for the airplanes that dont have bluetooth ... and yes i know there is a bluetooth adapter but i refuse to carry another item i have to rmr to take off the plane when offfboarding

I get that this is "only $10" but you can buy Koss headphones, like the KSC75 for $13 from maxwarehouse, though shipping makes it too expensive. Feel free to waste $10 on mediocre cans, but you can get far better sound for $5 to $10 more in many other headphones.
