Years ago I bought my wife an apple watch (series 2?) She recently broke the screen and wants me to buy a repair it to fix it. Id like to surprise her with a new watch. That said, when I mentioned before about getting a new one, she complains that she has to pay for a new line and she doesn't have to do that with her watch now? Also I do not have unlimited funds. She would be happy with the same watch....with that said, what is the best newer model comparatively speaking and on a budget.

BTW - I ordered the 40mm Midnight SE for my wife and the total came out to $136 (I think there is a 5% redcard involved here) with tax.
Kinda surprised. I got a USB-C charger instead of USB-A. IIRC the release variants of these were USB-A.
Will sell my Series 3 on ebay or something.
Oh well ...
