Sony WF1000XM3 in store clearance for $59.99 near me. YMMV the online price showed $169.99 but the tag was $59.99 and rang at that price.

I'd say the Sony's (once I bought some Comply foam tips for them) probably sound a tiny bit better and (again, foam tips) give better isolation than the APP. I honestly can't tell a difference with Sony's ANC on or off. But then again, that could be the foam tips.

But...

If you're looking for all the other benefits of the APP (easily connect to any Apple device - sometimes whether you want to or not - above average microphone, transparency mode, better UI with "gestures" on the units themselves etc) then the APP are definitely better.

I find myself using my APPs a lot (come to think of it, I haven't used the Sony's for like a month at this point whereas the APPs I use multipled times daily) more often than my Sony's. I don't like how you have to use their app to access a lot of the features.

In other words: the Sony's sound a bit better to my ear. Every other aspect (besides price) the APPs are better.

I own both and these sound much much better than the airpods pro. The issue is if these will fit your ears and feel comfortable.

If you are basing that off of Brickseek the in-store pricing displayed for Target hasn't worked right for like a year now on most items.

They aren't that comfortable for me either. Kinda feels heavy in my ear. They do sound great and block noise pretty well.

Yeah, my wife said the same thing. I use the smaller SP800N model -- they're awesome for phone calls and listening but the sound quality isn't anywhere as good as these. But these (the ones in the post) sound really good

Got these last year on the ebay refurb deal for ~$50. They've been great. They aren't ultra comfortable - but they sound great and the ANC is very effective (moreso with foam eartips than silicone ones).

For day-to-day use, I use some silicone eartips from an old pair of UE Triple-Fi 10's that work well and are comfortable. For airplane I use the included foam tips, but I have to take out every so often to give my canals a rest. And you kinda have to push in and twist to get a good seal - instructions are in the app/manual.

Still, for $50-$60, hard to beat. Latency is very good and calls sound good as well.
