Friends with the aluminum have scratched theirs up pretty badly, on both the display and the case... Some have even bought a 2nd aluminum over the years - which equals the price of a stainless anyways.
If it's the same price, I might as well get the additional functionality. I don't dive, but I do snorkel and hike recreationally. The sapphire and cellular is really what's important to me.

Alpine loop is much more breathable than my series 6 sports band (obviously lol) and it is quite comfortable. I notice the extra weight but it doesn't bother me. I'm excited for a cellular watch and better battery life.
