Damn, there's a lot of hate for meat-alternative products in this thread. Yeah, it's more expensive, and doesn't taste exactly like meat. Generally, I do like eating real beef and chicken, but sometimes, I just want something with less cholesterol and less environmental impact than beef. Might not be the healthiest, especially on the sodium side, but it's still better than its meat counterpart. That's why I don't mind eating it once in a while.

Too bad the Beyond chicken is a premium item price so you might as well get the premium beef or shrimp for second bowl

Not a bad deal if you don't have a receipt coupon or want premium item for your second bowl. You can also get the bigger plate with 1 side and 3 entrees at $9.30 if you use the receipt coupon.

My Chinese coworkers love Panda express. But they're about as Asian as a twinkie
The meat industry has a lot of hidden costs not reflected in the price tag.

Yes. Tried it today. Tofu tastes better and it's cheaper. I'll stick w/the real chicken. This fake chicken is just that- fake.

Fake chicken, like beef, often has even more salt added, so those with high blood pressure etc should avoid the fake meat products.
