they are all different, so kinda hard to summarize the specs, since each is priced different

About the size of a cigar box, these things are pretty good as a streaming device. Just hook it up to your big screen and add a bluetooth keybaord. Browse to your favorite service and you are all set. Windows 11 won't like these, but any flavor of Linux would.

I would recommend 16gb of RAM though.

One of these i5s or a Optiplex 5040-SFF, i5-6500, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, DVD, Win 10 Pro w/ keyboard and mouse for about $125?

I know the processor is newer in this one w/ 2 more cores but not sure about difference otherwise.

Yeah, intel eighth-gen is supported by windows 11. That's the cutoff, in fact - in general anything older is unsupported.

This is what you buy family members who don't game. Good deal.

Throw Batocera on it and you got perfect retro gaming machine that will run everything up to ps3 im guessing

w11 only on gen 8 so there is that.

SFF is more upgradable.

These have WiFi and Bluetooth.

So sort of depends on what you want to use it for.
